Our local St.Peterburg’s own market-expo-live music event called “Zhelezo” (plain “Hardware” in russian), being not as big as Synthposium, has a very friendly atmosphere and that useful weekend mood.
This weekend, 10 september, we’ll have one great local event — Zhelezo. It is a showroom and market for DIYers, local makers, collectioners and sellers of a synths, effects, stompboxes, everything hardware (“Zhelezo” means “hardware”) for electronic music production.
We all know the comfort is great thing. We all love handy devices. A device that is easy to use is a best thing user can wish.
Lets talk about powering of the devices: we want portability, less cords, and no wallwarts. Different 9V PSU bricks are the ugliest thing ever happened to mobile music — ever tried to wrap a setup full of wallwart-powered devices?…
So, that was amazing. Great event, great music, great workshops and great expo, great people. Too many “great” at one place, almost impossible, yet true. Best russian musical/technical event ever. It was great to be a part of it.
Thank you all visitors, colleagues, managers, organizers, musicians!
